Why do I sometimes get console errors when loading fontawesome fonts?

Sometimes it’ll be this error for the fonts:

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)

This problem could be caused by an incorrect usage of CSS/JS minification.

I’m not an expert, but from what I see in the page source, the links to the fonts included in the plugin are incorrect:

url('https://destroythecomics.com/wp-content/plugins/social-icons-widget-by-wpzoom/css/../font/socicon.ttf') format('truetype'),
url('https://destroythecomics.com/wp-content/plugins/social-icons-widget-by-wpzoom/css/../font/socicon.woff') format('woff'),
url('https://destroythecomics.com/wp-content/plugins/social-icons-widget-by-wpzoom/css/../font/socicon.svg') format('svg');

This results in 404 errors when trying to load the fonts:
https://destroythecomics.com/wp-content/plugins/social-icons-widget-by-wpzoom/font/fontawesome-webfont.ttf?v=4.7.0
https://destroythecomics.com/wp-content/plugins/social-icons-widget-by-wpzoom/font/fontawesome-webfont.woff2?v=4.7.0

While correct links should be loaded as:
https://destroythecomics.com/wp-content/plugins/social-icons-widget-by-wpzoom/font/fontawesome-webfont.ttf?v=4.7.0
https://destroythecomics.com/wp-content/plugins/social-icons-widget-by-wpzoom/assets/font/fontawesome-webfont.woff2?v=4.7.0

I recommend you to either try to disable all other plugins or change the theme to see if this fixes the problem. Or you can contact the author of the plugin you use to minify resources.
