Why do I no longer have the word "galleries" in the left-hand column?

  • Without that word, I can’t have indiviual galleries, which I could give titles like [nggallery id=136] at the end of an article. I now have no individual galleries with id numbers such as above! Thanks!

    Should I download it anyway? And what happoens then? Will I have to open z zip file or something? Or do I just download it and there’s nothing I need to do? Thanks!

    I really would not recommend that plugin – it has had some major problems in recent months and as I recall, your site is a custom theme and not using current version of WP?

    Yes, I was not sure what to do when I downloaded a new version of WordPress, so I probably didn’t do it. Another problem: when I put my pointer over a picture, the pointer doesn’t turn in to a “small hand” and the picture doesn’t show a bigger version of it when I click on it.     Looks like you did get WP updated – which is a really good thing in terms of security :)! And your theme seems to still be working mostly – another good thing.

    But the thing is that we really have no idea how that theme is coded – so it’s pretty impossible to know what’s wrong or how to suggest to fix it. I know you’ve been really frustrated with it – I would be too.

    Are the people who made your site totally out of the picture now? Or can you hire someone to help you get it fixed?

    Have you thought about switching to a new theme so you’d be more likely to get these things working? You could even start working on a new site/theme in a separate location so the old one is still up while you work on the new one?

    The people who made my site, Category4, renamed their site Convoy, and would not, even for money, help me with my site. I tried to hire one of them to help me, but it was a bad situation and is not the answer. I don’t know what it means to start a new theme, but if it means starting a different website completely, that is out of the question. Can I advertise on here that I need help? That would be great!
