Why do I get “Previous Page” link when there is no prev page?

I am wondering… what happens if you add one more post? And what is the setting in Options > Reading for the number of posts displayed?

The option is set for “show at most 1 day”. We only want the current days posts shown on the index page.

still not sure why it has previous page! Wonder if it has to do with the fact we had a bunch of posts from prior days that we deleted. In any case, the link to “previous” doesn’t seem right either, its not a “permalink” as we have configured.

The previous/next has nothing to do with the Permalinks.

Let’s wait a day or two until there will be posts for more days, and see if it works.
