• Hi,

When a user logs in (my users are contributors) he gets his dashboard instead of the home page.

I’m sure this will confuse a lot of users.

Can I set WP to start at the home page after login?

    Thanks

  • Yes. Right now, your users log in at something like

    yoursite.com/wp-login.php

    Change this location to

    yoursite.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=%2F

    Hi,

    Your answer sounded so easy…

But *where* do you make this change?

    Thanks

    Change the login link.

OK, this time I really got it!

    Thanks

Hate to ask a dumb question but where is the login link stored and changed?

    Thanks in advance.

I had this problem too, I put in a plugin “new user email” which allow you to change the email that is sent easily including the landing page. so sent out the email as suggested above.
So it works OK except that the web admin link still works so the user has access to the web admin page. so the work around helps but does not solve the problems. I have spent some time trying to get this resolved including searching on this forum and gogling.
It seems strange that this is not a major problem for most wordpress users ??
    Can anybody help please.
    on wordpress 2.6.2

    Thanks,
