Why the heck did they move the Internal Linking Suggestions so it no longer appears conveniently in my sidebar when editing a post? Now I have to navigate to the Yoast specific directory and select it from a dropdown?! I do not like this! Does anyone know how I can change this? Why isn’t anyone else complaining about this on the forum? This completely disrupted my workflow. I can no longer be on “auto-pilot” if I have to navigate to another menu to find what I’m looking for! Help???

  • Hi,

We would expect the internal linking to still appear. We are not sure what your backend looks like but if you click on the Yoast Icon at the top right does an internal linking option appear? See image: https://pasteboard.co/JuhlKfr.jpg

If you are not seeing that can you take a screenshot of the backend of the post? You can use a tool like: https://pasteboard.co/ to share the image.

Yes I can still get to it, but it used to be in the main menu on the right while editing a new post and it was under the options for featured image, tags, categories, etc. Now after updating the plugin, I have to navigate to the Yoast options specifically to get to the internal linking suggestions.

    Hi,

We moved the internal linking suggestions tool into the sidebar since v15.0 of Yoast SEO for WordPress Premium. You can read more about it in the release post here — https://yoast.com/yoast-seo-15-0/

Since internal linking suggestions is a feature in the premium plugin, if you have an active subscription, please do feel free to contact us directly for any support or inquiries — https://yoast.com/help/support/#premium
