I’ve used this to change the “login name/url” but every time I go to the new URL it always just comes up as 404 not found. I know you have to change the permalinks, but I want the permalinks set a specific way, so I have to go into my Database every time my login expires and turn it off, or make the folder hidden so I can log in again.

Is there a way to fix the permalinks so I don’t have to change them?

  • Have you tried saving the permalinks as they are?
I just installed WPS Hide Login and didn’t have to do anything about the permalinks, not even save them as they are, which updates them, and everything works fine, as expected.
Try on the permalink page, without changing them, to click Save and see if it goes.

I had forgotten that I wrote this, for some weird reason it just started working without having to do anything with the permalinks. Don’t know how or why, but it “fixed itself”.

    OK perfect.
