Why can't I find a theme that has posts from different categories on main page?

  • I’ve been searching for months for a theme that will allow me to run a hyperlocal news website that has posts from my “news” category in the first column and posts from my “features” category in the second column, and possibly even a third column from a different category.

    Does anyone know where/how I can achieve this?

  • You are not unlikely to find a pre-existing theme that fits your exact specifications. Try looking for a 3 or 4 column theme and editing it to use the custom queries that you will need.
