Why Can't I Edit This Thing?

I’m editing every stylesheet I can get my hands on, and only a quarter of the edits I do are showing any kind of change on the Slider.

I’ve Firebugged this friggin’ thing to death, but all I can find is that the plugin is adding its own, inline code or something that is always overruling everything (I’ve tried adding stylings AFTER the wp_head but that doesn’t change anything either)

I’m pulling my hair out with this.

Also, does anyone know how to change the arrangement of the content that’s displayed? I don’t want an image floating to one side, and text to another. I just want to Sit the image at the top and have all text fall beneath, but all I’ve mustered is a fudged change to the CSS that solves the problem in a really bent-up way. I don’t mind having to sift through one of the PHP files or something to do so, I just need to know which file that call would be in.

I know I seem ungrateful. I’m actually not, the brunt of my frustration is coming from the fact that this script would be perfect for me if I could only work these few issues out.
