• In current broken state – for the link above – I mistakenly tagged a load of Congo with the India tag

I go to the images in question and try to delete tags and nothing happens

I tried to add ‘Congo and Africa’ tags to the 30 or so Congo images and that too does not work

I guessed that this might be a server problem responsiveness problem and tried the same things with just one single image but that does not work either

The spinning loading wheel above the gallery does not stop spinning after the gallery is opened in the dashboard

That said – other changes (such as changing order of the images) does take effect if I click save. But changes to the tags do now.

Deleting the Congo pics from that simply gallery and saving – and then adding them afresh from the media does not work – because they come in again still with the India tags attached – and they refuse to accept the new tags

I am about create a completely new Simply gallery and populate it with the same images from Media and see if they come in with tags attached

Appreciate any help on fixing this

For what it is worth – I solved the problem by creating a new Simply Gallery and loading only the offending approx 30 images

I was able to add and delete tags in this gallery and then I found all the tags had been corrected upon returning to the above mentioned original gallery (which would not let me edit tags in)

I am still interested in what might have gone on in relation to the failure to tag edit from that gallery

    Hello,

on the editor page (admin panel) a large number of scripts from different plugins are used (the more plugins – the more scripts) and any error in some script can block the execution of other scripts. In short, one javascript error can affect a process (script) completely unrelated to this error. If something does not work – this means that you need to open the developer tools and analyze the cause (errors) or try to reload the page and create a new gallery (there are many solutions). If you can catch the order of actions causing this problem (system), then we can try to fix it.

Many thanks for that. If I get the chance to troubleshoot the errors I will post here. Having found a work around I dont expect to confront this problem again in the near future.
