Why buy pro if there’s no support?

I’ve bought ‘pro’ plugins before now only for the developer to cease support and updates. Why should I buy the pro version of this plugin when there are so many unanswered questions in the support forum? And why does it cost $25 for one domain and double that for as many as you want? This all seems a bit suspect to me. Sorry to be so cautious but can anyone tell me if they’re happy with the purchase of the pro version?
