• On the site I help run, https://civicliteracy.iupui.edu/, I am trying to customize our sidebars by dragging plugins. The first 9 plugin widgets drag fine over to the sidebar, but all the rest do not drag and only do a select text. The other similar threads do not describe a situation where some drag and some don’t. Could someone please help point me towards a solution?

  • I think you’d need to ask the individual plugin developers this question.

It affects WordPress plugins and commercial plugins alike. The plugins are arranged in alphabetical order and after “category archive” widget, none of the rest drag over to sidebar. This doesn’t seem to have anything to do with it being an outside plugin.

Have you tried turning off all your plugins? I’ve seen cases where a code issue with one particular widget affects the others that come after it on the page, so it sounds like that might be what you’re experiencing.

If all the widgets are draggable with plugins turned off, you can narrow it down from there.

Ok thanks let me try that.

Deactivating the one the first one that failed to drag seemed to free up the others to work. Thanks for the tip @shellbot.
