• This is not making any sense to me. If I have an event that is for January 16 at 10:00 then it should still be displayed until January 16 at 10:00 and removed from the site at 10:01. The only way I seem to be able to make today’s events visible is to set the event list scope to “events within 12 months.” What’s going to happen if I need to post an event that is 14 months away? Is there a way to make “future events” include today’s events?

  • Hi Dustin,
    EM user here too ??

Events Manager looks (only) at the event start date to show/hide the event in the events list. The start time s not checked (unfortunately).

To include/exclude today’s events from the Events List, check your settings:
Events > Pages > Event List/Archives > General settings > Are current events past events? You probably have that set to “Yes”.

Setting it to “No”, will include current events in the events list.

Since only the date is being checked, today’s event will be included from 00:00:01 to 23:59:59. The booking form is the only thing that is being checked (opened/closed) upon page load.

Hi Patrick, thanks for the reply. I did see that setting suggested a few times, however it does not seem to make a difference for me for some reason. Not really sure why.

How are you displaying the events list? By shortcode or do you have the EM settings render CONTENTS in a normal WP post?

Also, do you have a caching plugin running? If so, the cached version will always be shown until the cache is refreshed.

Just thinking out loud… (not tested it myself)
Using the shortcode [events_list] allows you to use more arguments than the rendered page.

It could be that the default scope=”future” always excludes today’s event and that the EM radio button include/exclude only applies to the rendered page.

To use the rendered page, create a blank page in Dashboard > Pages.
Then in Events > Settings > Pages > Event List/Archives > Events page, select the new page.
