• I recently activated the Media.net Ad manager plugin, but it appears it is not functioning as expected.

I have enabled three (3) ad units: Below the Posts and In-Article. I have also tried to implement the Below the Sidebar ad unit. Here is what I am seeing:

Desktop View: The in-article ad unit is displaying, as well as the one for below the content. The problem is the one below the content is pushed too far to the left, when it should be centered. I do not see a way to control that from happening. Also, the sidebar is not showing up.

Mobile View: The in-article ad unit is NOT displaying, and neither is the sidebar ad. The below-content ad is showing up, as well as an ad that runs across the bottom in a black box.

Also, is it common for the ads to display at times and not at other times?

    Thank you for you help.

  • For sidebar ad units to show up, you need to add and position them from the widgets page
    – Under ‘Appearance’ > Go to ‘Widgets’
    – There, look for ‘mnet_ad_widget_above’ and ‘mnet_ad_widget_below’
    – Drag and position them correctly in the ‘Blog sidebar’ section

This should solve your problem for sidebar ads

And as for your other problem of ad unit appearing to the left,
Please check in the advanced configuration, for that ad unit > in the Look & Feel section, what is the alignment set
There you can change it’s alignment to center.

Let me know if you still have any queries or if this doesn’t solve your problem.

    Hello, shamakhan403:

Thank you for your response. I followed your instructions and dragged the ‘mnet_ad_widget_below’ widget to the <<Newspaper default>> area in Widgets section (that included [tagDiv] Ad box and [tagDiv] Block 21: Most Popular widgets).

When I opened the widget the message read <<There are no options for this widget.>> It is not appearing in the desired location. What am I missing?

As for the ad appearing to the left, I do not see that particular ad included in my list of available ad slots. The ad is displaying below the footer and there does not appear to be a way to control it.

    Hello, @warrentab :

If you have properly placed the widgets then it should have worked, not sure why it didn’t. <<There are no options for this widget.>> this is okay, it just means that mnet_ad widgets don’t need more options.

And for the ad in the leftmost bottom corner, you can try resetting all configurations and see if it goes away. If it’s still there then it means that it isn’t controlled by the plugin, so you need to check if it’s getting injected from some other plugin or placed in the source code itself which you can check under Appearance in Theme Editor.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,

Thanks for the advice. Everything appears to be displaying correctly now, only the In-Article ad does not seem to be responsive; it’s getting cut off at the right in the mobile view.

Can you help me figure out why?

Sorry, also the ads are getting cropped at the bottom. Would it be okay if I added some padding so they display correctly?
