why are files being scanned on custom setting

    [Jan 29 05:05:19] Wordfence used 10 MB of memory for scan. Server peak memory usage was: 14 MB
    [Jan 29 05:05:19] Scan Complete. Scanned 9301 files, 28 plugins, 3 themes, 0 posts, 0 comments and 0 URLs in 14 minutes 28 seconds.

    In the general Settings the only thing selected is
    “Use low resource scanning (reduces server load by lengthening the scan duration)”

    Why is it scanning 9000 files?

    Are you using the latest Wordfence version? if so, do you mean that you selected “Limited Scan” option as in this screenshot?

    Yes latest version.
    You start with “Limited Scan” and then you deselect everything except “Use low resource ….” and you end up with the Custom Scan, after saving.
