Why am I having so many problems showing images

  • I am building my first site and am having problems with image galleries on IE.

    I have used oqey and the built in wordpress gallery with the option to show page set.

    Basically on some PCs with IE the oqey slideshow of two images on the home page does not apppear as intended and the gallery images do not appear as expected.

    By the way on that site my logo is a masthead.

    Are these two terms interchangable if you happen to design a wide narrow logo that acts as a masthead.

    For the homepage I simply want a looping slideshow somewhere down the page.

    I used to use nextgen but as of a few days ago nextgen stopped working on my site with blocks of links showing up instead of imagery.

    Perhaps it all points to an ofending plugin or theme customisation causing so may problems.

    It seems so basic a repeating slideshow on one page that has no thumbnails underneath and a grid gallery on others.

    While Ipad compatibility was initially an important priority if I had nextgen working as it should I might use it. IS nextgen still not ipad friendly?

    It works on Chrome for me. What browsers is it failing on?

    Internet explorer.

    Well the oqey slideshow becomes flash and shows two images vertically stacked . Indeed I really only want a looping slideshow here so even oqey may not be the aqnser but that oqey is great on the ipad.

    ALso nextgen is just not doing what it should on the site. Load of links instead of thumbs.

    Or liek here foe a slideshow infinite spinning indicator.

    I’ve tagged this for oqey and nextgen so the devs can chime in.

    https://www.mungreteng.com works fine on IE if I turn on compatibility mode, so I think oqey has some kinks to work out (mind you, IE is hell to fix).
