Why all the space between words ?

it’s because your text is justified.. meaning that it lines up on both the left and the right hand side.

Now its normal for a little more space to be evident if the first word following the line with lots of space in it is particularly long (meaning it takes up as much space as you can see there between words, or more)…. however, that isn’t the case with you.

Do you have any tags wrapping American Hover Fly?.. did you insert a
tag just before that?

try removing the text from wordpress and pasting it again from notepad, and see what happens.
