why after deinstall: "created by WP Lead Plus – a MUST HAVE Lead Capture plugin"

    It was because you use the Blank Template, which was created by WP Lead Plus.

    Please use a different template for your page.

    Huh? This plugin creates page templates that embed the author’s link in each one?

    *Installs plugin on test bed, creates squeeze page, reads “created by WP Lead Plus – a MUST HAVE Lead Capture plugin” on page*

    That’s not good.

    That sort of powered by needs to be optional per the plugin guidelines.

    10. The plugin must not embed external links on the public site (like a “powered by” link) without explicitly asking the user’s permission. Any such options in the plugin must default to NOT show the link.
