who’s to blame for ads in the dashboard?

    in recently days my employee got a prominent button “get funnelkit stripe plugin” in the dashboard and he clicked it. Live in production. Of course because I had the woocommerce stripe checkout plugin, it didn’t play fine and lost several orders because “stripe is not configured”.

    Which plugin I have to blame (and blacklist) for proposing such an irresponsible action on production?

    Thank you very much for your query.

    We are here to fully audit and improve anything that’s needed.

    Couple of quick points for clarification:

    1. The FunnelKit Stripe when activated only triggers a prompt for connect if logged in user is admin user role.
    2. The user has to go through a onboarding process which is quite a few clicks and all along the onboarding the FunnelKit logo is displayed.
    3. If admin user does not connect no code runs on frontend. No gateways is rendered or code is run.
    4. Is there by any chance that you are running WooCommerce Subscription. We recently encountered a bug with Subscription that was identified when user just installs and does not connect failing to process orders. We are preparing a release for it this week.

    Could you kindly share the order notes of some of the orders that failed. Along with system report for WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

    We want to deep dive and investigate and improve anything?that’s?needed. You could share here or send us a support ticket for review.

    Rest assured we take user experience and this will be deeply investigated.

    I was able to reproduce the problem on a clean test site and the popup “install funnelkit stripe” wasn’t created by your plugin, but by another plugin (product feed pro)

    Here it is, very annoying to see such a tactic. I also have product feed pro (not for long!)
