    This is complete insanity.

If this breaks my WP Bakery Page Builder plugin across 25+ sites, I am going to be absolutely screwed.

Please, please, please make the right decision and DO NOT make this part of WordPress’s core.

  • It should not, WP Bakery is normally compatible.

    https://visualcomposer.io/docs/content-elements-structure/gutenberg-element/

This is why Visual Composer is now fully compatible with the Gutenberg editor. This means that you will have two options available:

    I like that part :

    How to disable Gutenberg
We understand that not all people are excited about the Gutenberg. Especially if you already have your content made up. So, this is obvious that you may want to disable the Gutenberg editor.

Now, think of the time you will have to train all the people who this 25+ sites belong too… fun times ahead.

I thought they got rid of the name Visual Composer. Or did they split off into different companies?

@brandonpetersondesigns FYI, Visual Composer and WP Bakery are two separate plugins. The former is a website builder (think complete control, including header/footer etc), and the latter is a page builder (i.e. what you get when you add the_content(); into your template). Hope that helps clear it up? A bit confusing though, I admit!

    @wickywills

It is indeed confusing as I used to see “Visual Composer” in my admin and now it is called “WPBakery Page Builder” case in point their page on Envato Market is named : WPBakery Page Builder for WordPress (formerly Visual Composer)

    Anyway, should be fine.

Oh and this is what I see in my admin page now, so yep should work.

    Gutenberg Compatible

WPBakery Page Builder is compatible with the Gutenberg and allows to use it within your layout.

Well I can take a deep breath then lol. Just gotta make sure all these (Formerly Visual Composer?) WP Bakery Page Builder- whatever is installed- plugins are up to date…

    Thanks guys.

It is not full compatible (yet). When I enabled it there was no way to use WPBakery Page Builder. The support answered: The full Gutenberg compatibility will be added soon. At present we have added Gutenberg element into the interface which makes it easier to add it’s blocks.
