    Hey Fellas,

This is attached to me purchasing the premium upgrade, so I also sent it via your contact form.

First off – simply LOVE the plugin. It’s been brilliant. Except for one scenario.

We do a lot of manual orders for our wholesalers. It’s a wholesale account – they like to call them in. Currently, we’re logging in as them and doing it that way. But that’s just ridiculous when we can add orders in the back end – all streamline like.

This recently reared its ugly head when we had to update a wholesale customer’s order. Try as we might – we could not add in products to their order once it was set to processing at wholesale pricing. At normal price, sure. At wholesale price? NOPE! NADDA. CAN’T DO.

So – other than that one issue – this plugin has been a lifesaver – but we have to look for another solution because it just gets completely clunky for 60% of our orders.

    Hope this can get fixed!

    Best,
    Nathan

    Hi Nathan,

WooCommerce is a bit restricted for us with regards to how it handles the backend interface. It makes it very difficult to work with to alter pricing on the fly. We’re keeping this under observation though in case it changes in the future.

I just took a look at your ticket and apologies that our support team didn’t advise of the workaround for this.

You can use the User Switching plugin to place orders on behalf of your customers using the front end. With the Order Form plugin, this gets even easier (especially when handling over the phone).

If you’re adding to an existing order, then the best method is to just manually adjust the pricing as you’re adding the plugin (a pain I know, but better than no option).

    Hope this helps.

    Hey Josh,

Unfortunately, with the user switching plugin – carts are actually cookie based, so it doesn’t quite work.

All in all, it’s been quite frustrating. I don’t plan on buying another plugin of yours to try to fix this issue.

I’ll be posting again in the support area and asking for a refund. It simply just doesn’t work well.

    Nathan

    Hi Nathan,

We have quite a few people using the User Switching solution, it should be clearing the cart session data.

I also just retested it a moment ago and it seems to be working ok for me, I switched to several different users and processed orders without a problem.

Any particular issue you’re having with that workaround? Have you tried it?

Understand your frustration, and definitely not trying to sell you anything else to solve it, I just want to help you get a working solution.

If it’s still not working after you try the User Switching plugin, please email support again we’ll take it from there.

    Cheers,
    Josh

    Hi Nathan,

Can you please also confirm the author of your plugin is Rymera Web Co and the plugin version is 1.2.1?

    Thanks,

    Hey Josh,

I ended up getting a different user switching plugin from envato – a specifically-for-woocommerce one (that actually creates a temp cart structure) and it worked … enough.

That said, it’s still a work around. And it really just doesn’t do what it’s meant to do. (Like editing a cart and adding to an order as needed). Wholesale orders w/o having the ability to edit the order in the admin section (at all), kinda kills the point of the plugin – don’t ya think?

I have to admit though – that this support has actually been much better than the paid support.

    Hi Nathan,

Sorry the experience has been a bit subpar so far. Certainly not our intention and normally our support (paid and free is A1).

Glad the other plugin is working, though in my experience the free plugin works just fine too.

I definitely don’t agree that it kills the purpose of the plugin. The fact is that most admins don’t use the backend for creating manual orders at all (wholesale or not) so it’s just something our users haven’t missed it at all (or don’t miss that badly anyway!).

This is actually only the second time in the past 8 months that we’ve had this feature requested – I know because I’ve been monitoring it closely to see how desperately we need a fix for this.

Of the couple of people that have asked about it the workaround has been suitable so unfortunately it’s been bumped down the feature queue so we can bring more exciting features to the table instead.

If you feel the 1-star needs to stay, that’s fine too, but it would be a shame to cop such a bad rating for one missing feature that has a workaround! ??

Let me know if I can be of any more assistance. I’ll keep an eye out for your name on our support line and if I see any tickets, I’ll pick it up myself.

Appreciate you being a good sport about it all.

    Cheers,
    Josh (creator of the plugin)

    Hey Josh,

You have a point. It’s not a 1-Star plugin, and I will happily change it based on the support provided here. However, the paid support is – lackluster at best.

So, while the free plugin does as advertised – please update the docs to reflect the fact that the price change is only reflected to the end user, never to the admin.

When you get around to it – wholesale is usually an admin heavy task – and that update, I’m sure, would be a great addition. Until then – it’s a mostly great plugin.

    Best,
    Nathan

    Hey Nathan,

Really do appreciate that and your honest feedback as well.

I’ll touch base here if ever we do end up making the admin side of things work as intended. It’s still on the cards, we just have to find a good way to do it!

    Cheers,
    Josh
