    Hello,

With my company we decided to stop selling for private party and we want to create a wholesale store only.

The link I provided above is how looked our website for private party before we disabled it, you can see it here: https://staging-mmmediterraneancom.kinsta.cloud/

Nowadays, we use this for wholesale : https://mmmediterranean.b2bmobilesales.com/home

We would like to build a woo commerce store for whole sale that does the same thing as the wholesale website we use, but under WooCommerce it will be easier to personalize, give promos, etc…

    This is what we require:
    > Price should be hiden and revealed only when you are connected to the plateform (but product, description, size etc should be normally visible, just price is hiden)

    > Enroll Account: when people enroll, they have access to all prices, history of orders, reorder easily, etc…

    > In order to create an account with us, the customer need to get approved by our team, so we need them to Send us their VAT number and company detail

    > When placing order, they can pay straight away or have a 30days credit (to pay at 30 days) this is why we require VAT numbers.

WE DON’T WANT private customer to order online, it will be strictly for wholesale.

Is it possible to achieve with woo commerce, if yes, do we need plugins and which options do we have?
(I saw woo commerce pro but it seem that it gives discount to regular price which is not what we want since we don’ t sell to private party).

I hope that make sense and that you can help us achieve that.

    Thank you ??

    Hi @mmmediterranean,

Yes, it’s definitely possible to set up a wholesale store on WooCommerce. You can achieve all the features you’ve mentioned with the right combination of plugins and settings.

    1. To hide prices until a user logs in, you can use a plugin like Hide Price & Add to Cart Button. This will still allow you to display all other product details.
    2. For account creation, WooCommerce already has an in-built feature where users can create an account during checkout. However, to approve new accounts manually, you can use a plugin like Approve New User Registration or New User Approve. This will allow you to review and approve each new registration. You can also use the WooCommerce Memberships or WooCommerce Members Only plugin.
    3. To collect VAT numbers and company details during registration, you can use the WooCommerce Checkout Field Editor plugin. This will allow you to add custom fields during checkout. You can also use the EU VAT Number plugin too.
    4. For offering a 30-day credit system, you might need a more specialized plugin like WooCommerce Deposits. This will allow you to offer a payment plan to your customers.

Other extensions available for creating a wholesale marketplace using WooCommerce are:

Remember, WooCommerce is highly customizable and there are many plugins available that could meet your specific needs.

In addition, I would also recommend considering Woo Subscriptions. This could be a great way to manage recurring wholesale orders and offer exclusive promotions to your wholesale customers.

Please let us know if you need more information or if there’s anything else we can assist you with.

    Hi Shameem,

Thank you, I really appreciate all the insight.

For the VAT number, We only need it to approve customer’s account (making sure they are a company).

Also for the 30 days payment term, it’s based on the VAT so is it possible to checkout without paying and have the invoice generated anyway so we can send it to them later and/or they can pay it later on?

    Thank you,

    Simon

    Hey, @mmmediterranean!

From what you told us it seems Invoice Payment Option is a good option for you.

You can take a look to see if it fits your needs. We also have a 30-day money-back guarantee, so you can try it out to see more about it.

You can also search for “woocommerce invoice“, or something similar, on the Plugins > Add New section of your dashboard or on a search engine like Google, for example.

Please note that we do not provide support for third-party plugins(the ones not available on woo.com), so it is good to check the plugin thoroughly to see if it is reliable. You can find more about this in this guide.

Please let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.

    Have a wonderful day!
