Whole lots o' Problems

Installing the plugin by default initially gave me a “404 Oops! Page not found error.” That was corrected by switching the permalinks to “Day and name” under common settings.
The default page “ideas” (https://www.risingtidesgame.com/ideas/) showed up semi correctly (the CSS can be tweaked), however none of the votes I create show in the list. Only the votes that are generated by clicking the “Submit Idea” button actually populate the list.
Inserting the ideas widget into another page via short code produces this: https://www.risingtidesgame.com/testing/ …which is all kinds of broke.
The CSS can be customized and overwritten for the ideas page, however I would like to integrate it into another page without it visually breaking. Also, I can’t fix the “ideas” not showing up on the either page when created through the WordPress Admin section.
