    Hi.
Firstly I wanted to thank you for creating this plugin. I love the fact that it is clean and simple. I build all our clients’ websites using Twitter Bootstrap and I was looking for an easy way for clients (most are fairly non-technical) to be able to use some of Bootstrap’s elements.

Most of the time this just includes wells, small text, lead text, tables and possibly buttons. I was concerned about using shortcodes as I thought this might make it difficult for my clients. However I love the way you can easily insert examples with this plugin.

My concern is that the text in the modal box is very geared towards developers. For example:

This plugin won’t do anything if you don’t have WordPress theme built with the Bootstrap framework.

    and…

This plugin contains a composer.json file for those of you who manage your PHP dependencies with Composer.

Although I understand this, most of my clients won’t have a clue.

I could fork the plugin, but I wondered whether the help box could be made customisable and whether it could be made easier to understand? Would it be possible to only include some of the elements in this box?

As I said, I could modify it myself, but I’d like to keep up with the latest updates.

    Thanks!

    baritoneuk,
Thank you for your feedback. You’re correct, this plugin is (at least at the moment) aimed at theme developers and more technical content editors. We felt it was important to get the technical parts right first.

If it means anything, I’ve presented this plugin to a number of very non-technical clients and they’ve been able to understand the documentation pretty well.

But you make a good point. I’ll see if I can find a good way to split the system requirements part of the documentation out from the shortcode reference material. That way it’s still visible to developers who are interested, but is out of the way for users who might be confused.

Keep an eye on our GitHub repo here (https://github.com/filipstefansson/bootstrap-3-shortcodes) for progress on this!

    Sorry for the late reply.

I must have some very untechnical clients- as even the tiniest bit of techie language makes them quiver!

If there was a way to split the documentation from the shortcode reference that would be great.

    Thanks!

    baritoneuk,
Our GitHub repository has these changes now. We’ve separated the technical data and shortcode reference into separate “tabs” on the documentation popup. We hope this does the trick for you!

Check out the latest development version of the plugin here:
    https://github.com/filipstefansson/bootstrap-3-shortcodes

These changes will make their way here to www.remarpro.com when we’ve had a chance to test them more thoroughly.

Thanks for your patience, and thanks for using our plugin! We hope you’ll submit a review if you like it.

The latest version of the plugin, 3.2, splits the shortcode reference and the plugin documentation into separate tabs. This should help.
