Who clicks the share buttons? (SEO)

    Each share button provided by Jetpack shows an individual counter of the number of persons who shared that blog post.

    For SEO purposes I would like to know the persons who share by blog posts. Is it possible, through any means, to know who shared that content or where?

    We retrieve these sharing counts from the Social Networks themselves. However, none of them offer a way to know who shared the post, to protect the privacy of their users.

    You could, however, install Google Analytics on your site via a plugin like this one and find out more about every outgoing click on your site; you should be able to follow your users from their entry point until the click on the sharing button; that would tell you a bit more about these readers.
