• This appears to be a conflict from WP core code that handles video embedding. So what happens is that I want to embed a video file into a help page. When I go to view the help page, I notice a large amount of whitespace appears before I see the embedded video.

I am able to fix this issue by adding .wp-video { position: absolute } to the browser inspector but obviously I don’t think I can override this CSS feature as it is not a theme display design, it is coming from the WP core.

Is there a patch that you could apply from the plugin side?

I’ve added an admin style override for the time being in my functions.php file. Still not sure what is causing the conflict in the dashboard as the embedded videos display fine in pages/posts rendered by the theme styles.

Having the same issue here. Absolute positioning seems to overlap content beneath the video. Floating left seems to kinda fix the issue, albeit without padding below.
