I just installed the plug in and ran a scan, telling me that I had 376 comments, 333 of which were spam. The vast majority of the comments are from the site admin or authors.
From what I can determine, the “comment” is actually part of the post, and is looking for approval.
Is there a way to sort the comments by author, and to tell the plugin to skip comments by designated roles? Can I find out how many comments are attributed to a given IP address?
Can I easily find the comments which were not marked as spam?

How does the “in Response To” section work? How are the posts linked?
What does the number in front of the words “View Post” mean?

I am very confused by the plugin results and would appreciate help in interpreting the results and setting things up. Thanks

Should I be using a no self ping plugin?

    Hello, @nubiesan.

No, there are no buttons to skip comments by role or to sort by IP.

The interface by CleanTalk only shows the spam comments.

“In Response To” section shows the number of replies to the initial post. Click the links to see the posts themselves.

    Hi, thanks for the reply.
I don’t know how to get rid of these non-spam comments clogging up the works. I also have not found comments that I know to be spam, since they came to the email address.

    Suggestions?

    Hello, @nubiesan

Our plugin always shows the comments as spam if the IP or the email of the sender is in our blacklists.

I also have not found comments that I know to be spam, since they came to the email address.

Excuse me, are you talking about the comments that came directly to your email address, but weren’t posted on your web-site? Make note, the plugin checks only the comments that were posted on the web-site.

But if they were posted on your web-site you may try run scan with the option “Accurate check” or choose specify date range.
