    Hello,

Maybe I’m dumb or there’s something I don’t understand (which could easily happen ;)). I love this plugin which seems to work great.
I have only one problem though: one of my user (not an admin) is logging from UAE (United Arab Emirates). Every time she submits a form on our site, her IP got blocked. Problem is that her IP keeps changing probably due to her ISP. I don’t know why the UAE are blacklisted by Wordfence but that creates issues with her.

So everytime I whitelist her IP but that’s very boring. Is there a way to whitelist all of her action automatically when she logs in? Like same rights as she was an admin? Is it possible to do so and grant these rights to a specific user? ’cause I haven’t found any options regarding the matter.

At the very least, I’d like to whitelist the UAE as a country but it’s a poor solution. If I need to upgrade to the premium version I’ll do it but I haven’t even seen this option in the premium version.

Can someone shade some light for me on this?

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi @brunoairam,

There currently isn’t a way to whitelist certain users.

However, you can whitelist her IP range (even if her IP changes, she will still be whitelisted).

    You can follow these steps:

    1. Go to Wordfence -> All Options -> Advanced Firewall Options
    2. Calculate an IP range with https://www.ipaddressguide.com/cidr
    3. Type in the whitelisted IP range in the box and save

    For example:

    1. If her IP is always starting with 2.16.*.*, such as (2.16.158.20 or 2.16.133.10)
    2. You can type 2.16.0.0 and 2.16.255.255 in the CIDR calculator
    3. The result from the calculator is 2.16.0.0/16

This is what your whitelisted IP settings might look like:

Thanks Dave for your answer. Unfortenately, she doesn’t seem to have an IP range. The 3 IPs I had to unlock for her looks like it so far:

    86.96.63.xxx
    5.193.18.xxx
    5.107.91.xxx

Do you see a pattern? ??
Otherwise I think I’m stuck with this problem … Or can I whitelist a country?

    Thanks.

Can I have you try something else?

    1. Go to Wordfence -> All Options
    2. Uncheck Participate in the Real-Time Wordfence Security Network
    3. Save Changes

(You can remove all the whitelist IPs, and ask her to try again to test your website to see if it works)

Bruno, there are VPN services that provide a static IP. Perhaps she could subscribe to one of those, obtain a static IP, problem solved. MTN

Thanks, but it’s a basic client and I don’t want to create more hassles for her. I’ve disabled the service suggested by @wfdave, see how it goes.

    Thanks all for your replies.

Sounds good, let me know if it still blocks her.

    Hi again!

I hope she’s not getting blocked anymore!

If she is, please open another thread and we’ll try some more debugging ??

    Thanks,

    Dave

    Hello again,

She just had the issue again yesterday. Too bad! Her ISP probably changed her dynamic IP and she was blocked again. I had to manually whitelist her.

Any other suggestions? I still only have the problem for this country.

    @beeweebee and @brunoairam –> same guy.
