White space

  • I have the background for my posts / pages set to a specific color using the stylesheet css. However below the content the area still displays as white if the length of content is shorter than the length of the side bar.
    By using:
    #content {
    background-color: #e8e6da !important;
    }
    I have managed to change a strip down the lefthand side but not the entirety to this color. I cannot identify what needs to be changed to fix this.
