• It has been brought to my attention that if you try to upgrade to version 3.6.5 of Suffusion, sometimes you see a white screen in the back-end. This is unfortunately due to a certain server handing out a corrupted zip file for the theme installation. To fix this, please follow instructions here: https://code.google.com/p/suffusion/

  • UPDATE: I just changed it to “Show” right after I replied above. Now it appears just fine. So if anything’s broken, its only the “Hide on search results” option.

    I’d rather it didn’t show on search results, but its not a big deal. I’ll just leave it like this, unless you want me to do further testing to see where the problem lies.

    The date box is not designed to work for the Minima skin, hence you are not seeing it correctly. If you pick any other skin it will behave as expected.

    oh, okay. Well it worked fine before upgrading. I’m sticking with that skin for that site though, I’ve done too much customizing to go to another. Is there a good way to just remove the datebox completely and add the date near the categories?

    I too had a blank screen when I updated this morning. I followed the instructions and it worked great. However, I have a multiuser site and a few people have posted to my blog. When I upgraded all of my posts have disappeared except for two. Any ideas how to get them back?

    @arika,
    I don’t believe that has anything to do with the theme. What’s your URL?

    I have to figure out how to open my site up to everyone. Right now it says you have to be registered to view it and I cant get this option off. I will work on it today and then get back to you. My site is https://www.flavorsandflare.com

    @arika, I don’t believe that locking a blog to only WordPress users is a native feature of WP or Suffusion. Are you sure you don’t have some kind of privacy plugin installed?

    sayontan: I’ve just tried to hide the top navigation bar, and changing that setting doesn’t seem to have any effect either. I went to Blog Features>Top Navigation Bar Setup> and selected “Hidden (Default)” in the very first option, but nothing happens after saving and refreshing. Any ideas what’s going on? It seems like the problem I had with the date boxes before: I make and change but it doesn’t affect the blog.

    Thefiddler… THANK YOU, It was a plugin!

    Anyway here is my site flavorsandflare.com Like I said before when I updated to the new suffusion 3.6.5 I lost a few of my posts. I am still trying to get my page up and running but I lost a couple of the posts that I had there. Specifically ones that were not uploaded by me.Any help with this would be appreciated.

    @arika,
    If I were to make a guess I would say that your permalinks are messed up. In other words your posts all exist, but the right links for them are not showing up. Otherwise you wouldn’t be able to see the category hierarchy on the left. Suffusion does nothing to tamper with this kind of setup, so it is probably a plugin you have or some permalink setup you personally did.

    @thefiddler,
    That is one feature I can guarantee works. You are probably using WP 3.0 menus and have them assigned the menu to the “Top Navigation Bar” location from your Appearance → Menus screen. If you select a menu there it shows up in the navigation bar, irrespective of what your navigation bar setup says. This is as per the release notes for version 3.6.3, point #2i.

    Ah, thank you!

    Sayontan….

    I changed my permalinks (which I have never done before) and nothing changed. I went through all my plugins and the content still did not reappear.

    When I click on the others authors name, Christine, it says page not found. The only think I did was upgrade Suffusion and then it was gone. Would it have moved the files someplace? I am just getting up and going so to loose one file is not a biggie but I am worried about the future when I have hundreds of posts.

    UPDATE: when I click on archives in the right column the cupcake recipe from Christine shows up. So it must be somewhere! LOL

    Also when I go to my dashboard it is not listed under posts and I am logged in as the admin person.
