White screen of death upon attempting to add first gallery

Heard great things about this plugin. Unfortunately, it didn’t work. Bummer because it had exactly the features we needed. While two other gallery plugins worked fine, they don’t look as nice… but that doesn’t matter if the plugin is broken. Seems to be a common problem as per other reviews.
