• Hello!

I had not use wordpress for 10 years so this was bound to happen…
Recently I was given access so this company’s website we acquired..
I did a couple easy changes and then another one: i tried to update a header logo.

Because of the (old) template (Creativa), the d**** logo did not change (or so I think). I did not know how to fix it so I decided to update plugins: Redux Framwork. Big mistake, the template did not support the update (something about php) and the whole appearance changed.

I fixed this with the WP Rollback plugin though! But then I got greedy: I wanted to rollback the Redux plugin to exact the same version I had before anything happen (which i did not know). So I kept rolling back & activating, rolling back and activating until finally, bam!!, the white screen of death appeared.

Now I cannot access any admin wordpress dashboard, the site is offline… A complete disaster…

I’ve been reading for 4 hours how to try to get out of this but it’s messy: ftp servers, ssh? hostname & users (I don’t know the host name and the credentials…)?

It’s too technical for me, can anyone just laugh about me and have the compassion to help me out with this? ??

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel (consult your hosting provider’s documentation for specifics on these), navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. Hopefully, this will force the default theme to activate and rule out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

We have no more access to your site than any normal visitor, so we’re not able to do this for you.

But, if you would like to hire someone to do this for you, please try https://jobs.wordpress.net/ and do not accept any hire or direct access offers posted to these forums.

Yeah, that’s what I’ve read about. But how do I manually reset my plugins?
I cannot access through my hosting server as I do not have the credentials (from the time being).

I have download myphpmyadmin from git but i don’t know how to reach the wordpress interface, how do I do it?

    thanks!

Follow the guide I linked to in my original reply.

I cannot access through my hosting server as I do not have the credentials.

Having access to your hosting account’s control panel is far more important than having access to WordPress. You can control/fix everything there.

It’s like being worried you can’t get into the kitchen when you can’t even get into the house.

I have download myphpmyadmin from git but i don’t know how to reach the wordpress interface, how do I do it?

You’ll find and use phpMyAdmin in your hosting account’s control panel.
