• Hello, a few weeks back I installed WP Super Cache and got some warnings in the admin panel. At the time I didn’t know how to properly configure the plugin so I immediately deleted/uninstalled it due to these warnings. Today, I saw a tutorial on how to properly install and configure this plugin, which I did successfully. I tested the cache and it was working great. I went to view my website https://www.seniorcareministries.org and got the white screen of death. I read in the FAQ’s that this is likely a PHP error, however I am not a coder and don’t know how to check my error logs. I do know how to ftp to the site and correct files though if given the code in advance. I’m really hoping someone can point me in the right direction so I can get my site back. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

@ Rob~ i checked the wp-config.php file and I didn’t see a blank line, but maybe thats because our definitions of blank line is different though

@donncha~ I don’t have a wp-cache-config.php or advanced-cache.php file. They were deleted when I deactivated/deleted the plugin. I’ve also cleared the definitions from .htaccess and took out the “define” line out of wp-config.php and still no dice. Any thoughts? Thanks

I emailed you the readme.txt file to your gravatar email address.

Thanks Rob, I followed the directions to a tee and still nothing. What does APC mean? Here is what the developer mentions in the FAQ’s…

    22. The “white screen of death” or a blank page when you visit your site is almost always caused by a PHP error but it may also be caused by APC. Disable that PHP extension if you have trouble and replace with eAccelerator or Xcache. 23. After uninstalling, your permalinks may break if you remove the WordPress mod_rewrite rules too. Regenerate those rules by visiting the Settings->Permalink page and saving that form again.
    Download Version 0.9.9.9

Double and triple check the wp-config.php, probably in the root of your website. There could be a php error there.

    Hi Donncha,

I did several times and found no error(s). I checked with my host to see if the problem was on their end but they said everything was running perfect. I literally scanned every file in the database and couldn’t find anything wrong. I followed your troubleshooting steps to a tee and couldn’t get it right. Luckily I backed everything up and have since restored the website. I really don’t understand what the problem was. I definitely want to use this plugin but I’m sort of aprehensive of re-installing it.
