Just updated to Version 3.2.3 and got white screen on front end.

Deactivated all plugins and re activated one by one, to discover when Stream is activated, I get white screen of death!

Upon deactivation all is well again. Sorry cant give any errors messages, as there weren’t any, just a blank white screen.

  • @member011 If you deactivate all plugins and only activate Stream all by itself, does it also happen?

Hi David, Yes it did happen with only Stream activated, I have temporarily uninstalled, for the moment and will reinstall in a couple of weeks or so, I’m so busy with other work now. Thank you for responding ??

    No problem.
If it’s not too much or a problem, could I ask what version of PHP you have?

    thanks,

No Problems, I just checked and upgraded it to PHP7 it was using PHP5 Perhaps this was the cause?

It could be! All I can suggest, it to try it ??

I think I have other sites still using PHP5 with Stream, but I don’t think I have updated stream yet, I will check and get back to you.

    Thank you, much appreciated!

Yes I just found one that is using PHP5 with Stream 3.3.2 not updated yet.
How can I help establish a resolve?

well, simply update the plugin, if you get a white screen, update PHP, if it works then it’s that.
If not, you can remove the plugin and replace it with the older version for now.

Thank you for the advice ?? You are right, after updating to PHP7 all is well.

    ??

    You’re very welcome!
And thanks for this as well, I’ll now go and see what I can do in the plugin to prevent this from happening in future. It should check for PHP compatibility first, then warn if not compatible. not crash the site.

    Many thanks for the help!

@member011 , can you tell me exactly which version of PHP you had? 5 has smaller versions. like 5.4.45 or 5.3.29

I’m trying to find which version causes this break, so I can prevent it.

    thanks!
