  • Same problem first with 2.12.0 than with 2.12.1 problem not fixed made rollback to 2.11

Yep, I have the same problem again now too. Had been working last couple upgrades, but now not again. Same issue no doubt – not checking that gzip is installed on the server.

Since this seems to be a serious problem (and since they don’t seem to care to address it), I’m going to ask the community to remove this plugin.

Maybe spoke too soon. But I didn’t report the plugin until I was sure it wasn’t compatible with the newest version of WP. First checked with a fresh install of WordPress on my server and it worked fine. Figured out it was that my client had PHP v5.2 set on his cPanel settings. Changed that to 5.5 and works fine now. Hopefully that happens to be the case with some of the other posts (saw some other threads that sounded very similar).

Last week, a Cyclone update crashed my website, too. I use a Highend theme and have the latest WP. My host (JustHost) had to reset my website from their end, because I could not access it at all. They said that their data showed it was the Cyclone update. They deactivated Cyclone for me so that I can use my site, but I don’t have a slider on my welcome page anymore. Bummer.

How long before Cyclone fixes this, I wonder? I really liked that slider….

    I got such a problem:

Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /home/mysite/mysite.city.ua/www/wp-content/plugins/cyclone-slider-2/src/CycloneSlider/ImageResizer.php on line 104

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/mysite/mysite.city.ua/www/wp-content/plugins/cyclone-slider-2/src/CycloneSlider/ImageResizer.php on line 104

Very strange made a new test with 2.12.1 and it works now. Seems to depend on php version. I made first a test on localhost with php 5.6. and it didn’t work. After test with php7 cyclone slider 2.12.1 works fine

    Hi all,

A fix has been released. Please update to 2.12.2. Let me know if it works for you.

    Best

I’m using 2.12.2, just updated this morning, and I got this message when trying to update a photo, create new slideshow or add a new slide. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin as well.

Warning: require_once(../code-5.3.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home4/jules120/public_html/mansionmemories.org/wp-content/plugins/cyclone-slider-2/src/CycloneSlider/ImageResizer.php on line 104

2.12.3 should fix the problem @jules120

@kosinix, thank you!!! It worked! This is a great plugin. I tried a few different slider plugins yesterday and I kept coming back to yours. Thank you for the speedy fix!

You’re welcome @jules120! And thank you all for the patience. Marking this thread now as resolved.

    Best regards,

Hi, I update today to 2.12.3 version, and find a little bug, when I choose to “Resize Images?” to YES, then only the first image in slideshow display, the other shows like a missing. If I choose to NOT Resize Images, then images shows. I try different version of PHP from 5.3 to 7.0.
How I can fix this? For me is very important to resize images.
    Greetings!
