• Everything was fine. My site was working just the way it was supposed to, then, nothing.

I haven’t updated anything, haven’t touched the backend at all. All of a sudden I’m getting the white screen of death.

I’ve gone through all the appropriate steps to clear that problem, nothing helps. I couldn’t even get the login screen until I renamed the Themes folder “Themes_2”.

Once I signed in, i tried to find the bug within the themes folder by deleting a theme at a time, but it still is not working correctly.

If I try to activate another screen, it goes to a blank page.

It’s like my whole site has been deleted.

Please help, this is super frustrating.

If what you did above, worked, it’s your currently active theme causing the problem.

Access your server via FTP or SFTP, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme (not the entire themes directory). This will force the default theme to activate and you’ll be able to use your site again.

Once you’re back in, contact the theme’s developer for assistance with the issue.
