White Screen of Death

  • Dunno. I downloaded the plugin, install, activate and … white screen of death. I’ll get with my host to restore the previously saved version, but, why did your plugin break my site?

    I downloaded the plugin because toggle doesn’t work. I even used the pre-populated template. It only displays the text – [vc_toggle] – it doesn’t actually ‘toggle.’

    I figured I got the cheap version of VC with my theme and needed to upgrade. And, it broke my site.

    Anyhoo, any assistance you can provide would be appreciated.

    Yeah, so, my host de-activated the plugin for me, from the database.

    More specifically, here is the problem, from the error log:

    [06-Jun-2016 20:06:06 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function vc_map_integrate_shortcode() in /home7/thefacf5/public_html/wp-content/plugins/addons-for-visual-composer/includes/addons/testimonials-slider/class-lvca-testimonials-slider.php on line 210

    Can you provide me with a solution, please?

    Thanks for sending out the error log – makes it easier to resolve this issue.

    You must upgrade the VC plugin – looks like it is pretty old version with that function missing. I can fix the plugin to make it work with this old version but then if you are upgrading to WP 4.5 version, many of the older versions of VC will not work and you will be required to upgrade anyway.

    WP 4.5 version broke VC in a big way and most users were forced to purchase a regular license and upgrade.
