White Screen Goes Black

    I got the ‘white screen of death’ after trying to login a couple of days back. I researched the forums and tried the usual suspects – rogue plugin; rogue theme; blank lines in wp-config.php; etc., but no joy. No entries on the error log to help either.

    I got my ISP to restore the site and backtracked my recent changes. The answer lay in the Piano Black theme (v2.2). I’d added a new page and inadvertently given it the same menu order (7) as an earlier page.

    Result was Black went White. Looks like primitive or no error recovery. All pages with unique menu order numbers made White Black again.
