    When viewing the events page when not logged in you see a white page instead of the events calendar. We’ve done some troubleshooting and when we deactivate Yoast SEO everything works with no issues.

    I talked to the host and they sent me the following information:

    With the investigation regarding Yoast, I do see the problem here:
    substr_count() /code/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/inc/class-wpseo-replace-vars.php:670
    determine_pagenumbering() /code/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/inc/class-wpseo-replace-vars.php:1026
    retrieve_page() /code/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/inc/class-wpseo-replace-vars.php:306
    set_up_replacements() /code/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/inc/class-wpseo-replace-vars.php:164
    replace() /code/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/src/presenters/abstract-indexable-presenter.php:78
    replace_vars() /code/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/src/presenters/title-presenter.php:67

    The above shows that Yoast is somehow having a slow response retrieving a page that might be helpful when you contact their support for any help.

    I’ve also contacted The Events Calendar support and they haven’t been able to solve the issue either.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @cloneofghosts

    I’m sorry about the issue you experienced. I tried replicating this with Yoast SEO 20.2.1, Events Calendar 6.0.10 and WordPress 6.1.1; the events archive page loads fine.

    Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty-Two.

    Please test this on your development or staging site if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

    If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts.

    I did some more troubleshooting on my end and it does work when I switch to a default WordPress theme. I also figured out that if you add an event to the calendar then it will worked when logged out even when Yoast is activated.
