    Hi there @dennisr1,

Please let me know if I have this right:
    * you use MailPoet to customize your WooCommerce emails
    * one customization is that you have changed the background to be black instead of white
    * following the custom template, the new order email that is sent to the shop owner looks fine
    * however, the new order confirmation email that goes to clients has a white line cutting through the black background – but only on mobile

    Does that sound correct?

If so, first please verify your template is set up correctly under MailPoet > Settings, on the “WooCommerce” tab. The “use MailPoet to customize” checkbox should be checked; click the “Open Template Editor” to double check the layout of your custom template. In particular, please double check that any custom sections that use columns are set up correctly, and that the default WooCommerce section is not inside a column.

If all seems correct, please respond with this information:
    * a screenshot of an affected email
    * details on the email reader and platform being used to read the email
    * confirm if the email reader is in light or dark mode

    Thank you!

    Hi again @dennisr1,

Thanks for the screenshots, I do see the issue.

I attempted to recreate this on my test site and could not. Just to confirm, I’m setting the background of the emails to black using the MailPoet template editor in the latest version of MailPoet. To do this:

    • go under MailPoet > Settings
    • click on the “WooCommerce” tab
    • click the button to “Open Template Editor”
    • click on the WooCommerce generated content block
    • use the options at the bottom on the right to set the block background and global background to black

    It looks like this:

    https://d.pr/i/MGbNCq
    Full Size: https://d.pr/i/MGbNCq

Using this method, I tested sending this email to our server that can test the layout in many different platforms and browsers, and it passed testing for all, including on mobile with Apple devices.

This shows it is not a bug with MailPoet, but something specific to your emails.

It looks to me, from your screenshots, that there might be content in your email that is forcing the email to be wider than it should be. For example, if you are embedding custom content that includes a fixed-width image, embeds an advertisement, or links to an external site, this could include fixed-width content that forces the actual content of the email to be squished.

    Can you:

    • edit your MailPoet template to remove ALL custom data and information, other than the standard header and WooCommerce content block
    • re-run the test

    Thank you!
