White flashing when browsing.

  • When i browse my website it white flash blank pages while loading the content.
    i tried deactivate plugins and other stuffs, i tried a cache plugin, but still get those white flash, maybe something is wrong in my code.
    It seems to be only on safari on mac.
    If someone had same issue and find a fix could be great, it is killing me.

    You can see the white flashes on IE or Chrome, FF is fine. My site is located here:

    and then click on any of the links.

    I’m seeing some “jumping” in the page just before it completes loading in FF3.5, but no white flashes. Oddly enough, it viewed perfectly in IE8 for me. Both in normal and compatibility modes. Go figure ??

    Just a side note… I noticed your site is making a “Get crossdomain.xml” request and getting a server response of 404. The location it’s looking at is; https://sitesires.com/crossdomain.xml

    ClaytonJames – Thanks for the response! I see the jumps as well. Do you have any idea as to what might be happening with the jumps? and what could be calling for the crossdomain.xml?

    My gut reaction was that the chat box in the top of the right sidebar seemed to be making things hang, but that’s just a wild guess, and may not even be at all related. Maybe isolating plugins one at a time might reveal something, but I would only be guessing.

    Is it possible that a flash component on your site (maybe even the chat application?) is looking for your crossdomain policy when it loads? I think that’s an adobe/flash thing.

    I’m having the same issue here (https://madisonpacker.com/grind) and I think it is definitely related to a plugin. I’m isolating them as we speak and will get back to you with answer.

    My issue seems to start with TWO of my widgets, TubePress and the self-created link to Ustream.

    Apparently, it has something to do with loading external Flash video.
