White flash while loading fancybox-iframe

when opening up fancybox-iframes, there’s a bit of delay and some white flashing loading… i’ve tried setting the respective backgrounds to a darker color or even transparent — but the white flash remains.
how can i get rid of the backgorunds compltely while fancybox-iframe loads? and, is there a way to speed up the loading of iframes in general? a lazy load feature perhaps?
