White bar on top of grid; problem with date display

  • On my website: https://www.cityseacountry.com
    there is a white bar displayed across the left sidebar and the grid.

    How can it be removed?

    The date format on posts and comments does not work properly. How can it be changed? I tried it in the Settings. (I am using the qTranslate).
