  • Try adding this into your header

    <div>:
    overflow: hidden;

    I had a similar problem with bar below my image, and this worked.

    hi, thanks, im not really sure where to put that though? Where in the header template?

    You could just use the gradient of this image and add it over the that “part” of the header image right?

    If you want, I’ll take a screenshot of it all, and show you what I’m talking about..

    Hi spencer, I had already tried that actually and it didn’t work, the image misaligns when it appears for some odd reason

    Oh ok..well, hmm..I had made up a version of the Default theme without the 20px header and footer margins.. I don’t know if that’d be something worth your while or not..here’s a demo of it.

    Me thinks you could crop down your original header image, by removing that white bar at top..then just readjust the image’s height in the header.php file.. or something of that nature lol.. =P

    Hi Spencer, Thanks for your help but the header image is transparent at the top, the white bar is actually part of the page itself.

    The white bar is part of div#page background. I haven’t been able to quickly eliminate that, because Kubrick is not the easiest theme to customize. You should play around with height, margin, padding and line-height settings of the involved elements.

    mikepepsi, if you wouldn’t mind, could you send me a copy of the header image? I’ll also use some of the CSS, or imagery from your site, on the localhost and see what I can do with it. =)

    You can send me a copy of the image to:

    I’ve been messing with the default theme for how long now lol. I think it’d be fun, and I wouldn’t mind at all, at helping you with this. ?? ??

    Thanks a million spencer, i sent the email just now

    You could move the banner 10px to the top

    #header {margin: 0px; !important; margin: 0 0 0 1px; padding: 0px; height: 198px; width: 758px; top:-10px; position:relative; }

    Thanks so much, this more or less resolved it.

    Awesome! Well, like I said on Live Mess though, if you *really* want it cleaned up some more or whatever, just let me know. ??

    I know I didn’t get around to messing with it, because I was really *busy* lately.. =( Atleast StefanSuedfeld’s suggestion worked for the most part. =P

    The theme is the default WordPress 1.5 Kubrick theme modified with just a few image changes.
    Im looking for an alternate theme right now because I dont really feel its that “different” from every other WordPress blog.

    If you want to modify a theme, you always have to look for the css-Code.
