while updating plugin the wordpress turned into Maintenance mode

    The update process is starting. This process may take a while on some hosts, so please be patient.

    Enabling Maintenance mode…

    Updating Plugin

    and then stopped, I wait over 15 minutes and this still going, nothing happening or updating the plugin,

    What should be done now, when try to check the website I see maintenance page by Powered by WordPress Toolkit.

  • To get the site out of maintenance mode, you need to delete the .maintenance file in the root directory and these files present in wp-content:

    • /wp-content/maintenance.php
    • /wp-content/maintenance/*
    • /wp-content/maintenance/template.phtml

    After deleting them, your website should return to normal.
