When I was configuring the Easy Updates Manager and concentrating on disabling core updates, all the plugins on my website updated. Presumably this was because, by default, automatic plugin updates is enabled so when I clicked disable core updates it triggered the automatic plugin updates?

Thankfully nothing broke, but is that the behaviour you would expect? Just checking everything is working as it should?

When you first install EUM, it uses default WordPress behavior (as in plugins aren’t auto-updated).

Did you by chance enable auto updates for everything before disabling plugin updates? If so, that’s why they were updated. Disabling plugin updates should block automatic updates of plugins.

No I didn’t enable auto updates as far as I know. Interestingly, I have just installed this on another website I built (Beaver Builder theme) and it’s behaviour was different: when I clicked on ‘Disable all updates’ all the other options were immediately greyed out. That didn’t happen when I installed it on the other 2 websites I’d installed it on so I suspect something isn’t right?

Thanks so much for your help

With 8.0.2, we grayed out options if you choose to disable all updates. They are grayed out because those features do not work if all updates are disabled. I hope that answers your question.

Ah ok, yes that answers my question and I realise that the plugins have not updated themselves. When I deactivated the plugin, the plugins which need updating have the notifications attached once more.
    Thanks for your help.
