while have-posts shows-posts not displaying first post in loop

  • Displaying a grid of posts. jquery is producing the correct list and when viewing the page source I can see the first post for the “Download Your FREE Printable Chakra Chart (PDF)” is right there at the top of the loop with all the corresponding code which should cause it to display as the first post in the grid.

    However, it skips that and displays the first post as “Shamanic Pendulum Kit”.

    The order-by is using the menu-order from the entry. So, I have changed the values in the entries and witnessed it doesn’t matter which of the posts I assign the lowest menu-order. Whichever posts comes first in the loop, that’s the one that doesn’t display. So, there’s nothing wrong with the post data causing a particular post to not display. It’s definitely related to the have-posts loop or maybe even a simple syntax error somewhere that I’m missing.

    Have you tried deactivating all plugins to see if that resolves the issue?

    I did. They’re all reactivated now, but didn’t make a difference in the post display when I deactivated them… just resulted in some errors in the header and footer until I reactivated.
