While adding events its not saving author

I apologize for the delay in our response here! We’ve been recently acquired by Awesome Motive which does bring with it some exciting future plans for Sugar Calendar. I don’t have any news to share right now but expect some updates from us in the future!

As for your question, authors are not set by default with Sugar Calendar. You can read more in the link below on how to add that functionality if needed.

Advanced Custom Fields works with Sugar Calendar. You’ll just set up a new Field Group for when the Post Type equals “Event”. Here is a screenshot showing this setup from ACF. https://a.supportally.com/yLSCnd

Below is information on template files and post meta that can be used. Creating custom templates is outside of support but hopefully these documents will help. ACF has detailed documentation as well on how to pull data into a template.
