• I’ve a new project, that is likely to be in 6 languages, with roundabout 100 Post/Pages per language.

In the past I used qtranslate but abstained from it due to several shortcomings.

I also experimented with a multisite setup to keep things separated but it is a pain in a… to administer it especially once it gets more complex, as well as it is not so straightforward to share common resources such as images. Also developing in a subdir/moving under different domains is not really an option.

I recently came across the Polylang Plugin which seems to make a good first impression, but have no experience with it.

Another interesting plugin seems to be Babble (available on github only, AFAIK), but it still semms to be beta somewhat.

It also is not clear yet whether the default content would be fully or just partially translated. If partially, which strategy/plugin would you recommend according to your experiences?

    Thanks loads in advance!

Some might point out WPML – I also tried that in the past, but found it very complex and time consuming depending what you want to achieve.
