Which one to install for WordPress – AMPPS or MAMPS? Any advise please?

  • I want to learn WordPress offline on my Mac .
    Got the WordPress 3.1 for Mac but am not sure which server to install – AMPPS or MAMPS.

    Did some research on web but being not a techie I’m still not sure which one to use.

    Seems to me that AMPPS will be easier for a non-techie like me but this is just my guess.

    I am afraid that if install both it may cause big time mess in the system which I couldn’t fix.

    Could someone proficient in these matters, please, advise me which one to install – AMPPS or MAMPS ?

    My Mac runs on X 10.8.5.
