Which new user type to use?

It seems the default new user role when people click Signup is “Employer”.

It seems odd to me that there is a single choice for this. Using the signup form, they are not given the choice whether they wish to be added as employers or candidates.

Jobify implements some customizations to how new user registration operates on a WP Job Manager site. Typically, a new user is created as an Employer if their first action on a site is creating a job. Conversely, if the first thing a user does on the site is apply for a job (or post a resume), they are created as the Candidate role.
